collaborative installation

Columbus Collage of Art and Design Junior Seminar Project: Treading Site-Responsive Collaborative Installation. Dec. 2012.  Materials, Gutted turn of the century house, string, backlights, video, sound (movement activated and mediated sound emanating from the basement activated by footsteps on the stairs.) Visitors could enter a few at a time, the space was lighted by the blacklights, visitors had to pause to let their eyes adjust. The glowing string dissected the ceiling through to the second floor. The viewer only had access to the first floor and stairway leading up to the second floor, the second floor was filled in its entirety with the thin string, from rafters to ground. At the rear of the house there is a small rounded projection of bodies in motion, lighting up a window, the room that holds this window and projection is inaccessible, but can be seen from a cracked door.
